Supporting STEM Education in Northern New Mexico
Science on Tap - Neutron capture by hook or by crook
The Laboratory was founded on the science of nuclear reactions—work it continues today. During this event, Shea Mosby, with the Lab’s Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE), will talk about how a better understanding of nuclear reactions on radioactive materials is progressing using instruments such as the Detector for Advanced Neutron Capture Experiments (DANCE) and Apollo. This work is allowing scientists to make predictions about how neutrons behave with more accuracy than ever before possible whether you’re talking about weapons, power plants, or stars. Come on over and find out how they DANCE at LANSCE!
The Bradbury Science Museum Association supports and inspires learners of all ages in Northern New Mexico and beyond through STEM Education.
